The pair hit it off in 2015 — one year after Duff split from ex-husband Mike Comrie, with whom she shares son Luca — while collaborating on the Lizzie McGuire alum’s album Breathe In. Breathe Out. "They had great chemistry in the studio," a source close to Duff told Us at the time. "Hilary thinks Matt is very talented and cute."

The two rekindled their romance and the Raise Your Voice star started sharing photos of them together on Instagram again. She later opened up about their relationship, telling Us Weekly in December that “it’s going so great.”

Duff and Koma welcomed an elderly dog into their home. “Hey guys! We adopted an old dog,” the actress wrote alongside a sweet Instagram pic at the time. “Thank you so much @loveleorescue #welovelucy.” Koma also shared his excitement on Instagram. “I Love Lucy and she…looks fairly indifferent towards me,” he captioned a pic of the pup. “I will Ricky Ricardo her heart.”

Duff announced that the couple were expecting their first child together in a sweet Instagram post. “Guess what guys! @matthewkoma and I made a little princess of our own and we couldn’t be more excited!!!!!!” she captioned a pic that showed her beau giving her a kiss on the cheek, with her baby bump on full display.

The doting mom revealed she gave birth. “Banks Violet Bair,” she captioned an Instagram pic that showed her and Koma snuggling their newborn daughter. “This little bit has fully stolen our hearts! She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic.”

Koma proposed to Duff after dating on and off for two and a half years. “He asked me to be his wife,” she gushed on Instagram alongside a photo with her new diamond ring. The singer later added, “Thanks for the promotion babe.”
