On Tuesday, November 10, LeCroy took to Instagram to debut her new look. Posing in a low-cut light blue crop top, the 30-year-old reality star playfully captioned the pic, “Blooming.”

LeCroy got her procedure done by Dr. Patrick J. O’Neill, who runs O’Neill Plastic Surgery in Charleston, South Carolina. After completing the surgery late last month, the makeup artist shared a photo of herself from the operating room with her surgeon and a nurse.

“If life gives you lemons 🍋 , Dr. O’Neil can turn them to melons,” she wrote on October 24. “Thanks to his excellent team for making this momma feel like herself again.”

The Bravo personality revealed in early October that she had planned to go under the knife. At the time, she took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of several implants on a shelf. She placed a “Coming Soon” sticker over the pic.

LeCroy then spoke out following concerns from fans about her decision. “I freaked a lot of you out with my implant post,” she said in an Instagram Story video. “Just wanna say, don’t worry about it. Just because I’m having an implant does not mean that I’m coming with boobs as big as my head.”

The hairstylist continued, “I promise you Dr. O’Neill and I have decided we are going to stay as natural as possible. I am going to try to keep the same size that I have right now, but just an implant, and once you have children, guys, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about — if you’re a mom, you already do.”

During her recovery period, LeCroy said her breasts didn’t feel “that bad.” However, she did admit to being a “bit bruised” and “swollen” from the alteration.

“Having my abdominal muscles put back together was one of probably the worst pains I’ve ever been in,” she explained in an Instagram Story video. “That’s why this recovery is going to take me a little bit longer than just the chest, but, I mean, right now I’m liking what I’m seeing. I can’t see much considering it’s only been the fourth day and, in another week, I’ll be able to go and have everything taken off and see what I look like.”

LeCroy has documented the various treatments she’s received from Dr. O’Neill across her Instagram Story. In a highlight titled “Dr. O’Neill,” she shared footage from her dermaplaning procedure and her hydrafacial.

Celebs Who Admitted They Got Plastic Surgery

By // No comments:

It’s often thought that celebrities who have had plastic surgery hide that fact at all costs. But as stars from Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Ariel Winter to Kelly Rowland and Courteney Cox have shown, that assumption isn’t always right.

Some Hollywood actors and reality TV stars — hello, Real Housewives! — who have gone under the knife are proud of it and love to celebrate the fact. Others simply don’t want to perpetuate the stigma of shame that can come from getting aesthetic procedures and see no point in keeping them a secret. Then, of course, in cases like Heidi Montag’s 10 procedures in one day, the before and after pictures would have made a denial impossible!

Sometimes, a little nip/tuck or some facial fillers can help with aging; but other celebs have talked about getting nose jobs at a young age or breast enhancements or reductions that have helped with everything from confidence to pain relief. In other cases, the reason is purely aesthetic — liposuction for better abs for the best beach body possible; injections for plumper lips; chin implants for a balanced look. And in still other instances, stars such as TV journalist Julie Chen were told changing their features would help their careers.

At times, stars admit they’ve gone too far with face-lifts or have had plastic surgery nightmares. Montag, for example, had developed health problems from her surgery and had changed her mind about beauty ideals. After getting some of her enhancements reversed by a different plastic surgeon, she told Us in 2013 that she had even considered not doing that. “I just didn’t want to go back under surgery because it was just so traumatic and something I never — I’m so sick of being the surgery girl. It was the last thing I wanted to do: re-bring that all up; it’s just been such a nightmare in my life,” she said. But she realized she had to do it: “I was like, ‘Well it’s not really a choice because now it’s affecting my health.’”

Jillian Michaels, on the other hand, has talked about the joy of getting a nose job at the age of 16. “And I’ll be honest,” she said in 2015, “it did change my life.”

Scroll through to see celebrity plastic surgery before and after photos — and hear what these stars had to say about the process and changes.

The Southern Charm charm underwent a breast augmentation in October 2020, and she revealed her results the following month. “Blooming,” she captioned a pic, in which she posed in a low-cut light blue crop top.

The 90 Day Fiance alum revealed a new face and body in September 2020 after undergoing a reported $72,000 worth of cosmetic surgery procedures including a nose job, liposuction and breast and butt augmentation. "I lose weight. I did butt to make it bigger. I did botox. I did my nose. I did my lips. I did my cheekbones. I did my chin," she said on as episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? earlier in the year. "I am a new woman and I feel very happy."

Ashley Tisdale

In August 2020, Tisdale revealed that she previously had a breast augmentation procedure to remove her implants in the winter of 2019. “This is probably the most personal post I’ve ever shared. As you know, I’ve been very open about my mental health journey and feel that this is equally important. Years ago I underwent breast enhancement surgery,” she shared via Instagram. “Prior to the surgery, I constantly felt my body was less than, and thought this change would make me feel more whole and more secure about myself. And for a short period of time…it did.”

The former Disney star added, “But little by little I began struggling with minor health issues that just were not adding up — food sensitivities as well as gut issues (full story on [my blog] @frenshe) that I thought could be caused by my implants. So, last winter I decided to undergo implant removal.”

The Real Housewives of New York City star unveiled her before and after photos in July 2020, and revealed she had a face lift and neck lift after she wrapped season 12 of the Bravo series. “People thought I was nuts because it was so subtle. But not to me,” Morgan wrote via Instagram. “It was a no-brainer – gravity had taken its toll, I was also exhausted and I needed a ‘pick me up.’”

Gia Giudice

The daughter of Teresa and Joe Giudice announced via Instagram in July 2020 that she got a nose job. Gia was 19 at the time of the procedure.

“Yes, I got a nose job. Yes, I’m swollen,” she wrote. “Thank you so much, @drtobiasnyc. I’m absolutely in love with it:heart_eyes: I am an adult now, this has been an insecurity of mine for a while and I’ve never been happier and so comfortable in my own skin!!”

Chrissy Teigen

The Cravings cookbook author owned up to getting her breasts done when she was a young Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model — and totally regretting it. "I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old," Teigen told Glamour U.K. in March 2020. "It was more of a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I'm going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed." The always candid Lip Sync Battle cohost kept her plastic surgery revelation lighthearted, teasing the big news from her Glamour cover story on Instagram. "Talk about a weight lifted off my chest!!!" she joked.

The reality star revealed on Instagram in February 2020 that she got a boob job, praising the same plastic surgeon former Jersey Shore: Family Vacation costar Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi used for her 2016 breast enhancement. “My boobies are my fave part of my body now,” Pivarnick raved in the post.

The fashion designer revealed in her January 2020 memoir, Open Book, that she had two tummy tucks in 2015. “I wanted to get rid of the stretch marks and loose skin left sagging from my back-to-back pregnancies,” she wrote. “I was so ashamed of my body at this point that I wouldn’t let Eric see me without a white T-shirt on.”

She suffered complications after the second procedure, however, and stayed in a hospital for nine days. “I got an infection — colitis — and was vomiting so much I thought I was going to bust my sutures. … Doctors talked seriously about me needing a blood transfusion.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed in January 2020 that she had a second breast augmentation nearly 12 years after her first. “I believe it’s important to always stand strong and feel like your best most confident self,” she wrote, noting that she “was very nervous to re-do my breasts” but “could not be happier with the results.”

Dina Manzo

The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum revealed she got a nose job after fans called her out for looking different in December 2019.

“When the thing on the center of your face changes you’re gonna look different lol. Two years ago, I got my nose fixed,” she wrote at the time. “I hate fillers plus they’re so damn expensive… @drghavami likes to say ‘keep em guessing’ so I’ll leave it at that. I had a really hard time adjusting to my new nose especially the first year. Although my Dr is amazing at what he does, it did change my overall look. I had a prominent Italian rounded nose and now I had this perfectly proportioned petite nose. It’s a big adjustment especially when you live with the same face for 45 yrs.”

Manzo added that she loves Botox.

“I’m really proud of how I take care of myself,” she wrote. “I eat right, work out and work on my mind & spirit just as much if not more. That helps you stay youthful & glowy the MOST.”

Sharon Osbourne

On the season 10 premiere of The Talk on September 9, 2019, the host shared that she’d gotten a facelift in August. “It was five weeks today that I had my operation,” she said. “I had my neck done, my jowls … He kind of pulled it from the top of my head and put an elastic band in it. But everything was just lifted up. So it looks more refreshed.” And though she said she was in a bit of discomfort, she found it worth the results: “You can’t complain [about pain] when you wanted to do it!” Osbourne, who has talked about previous cosmetic procedures too, had announced in June 2019 that she planned to get the procedure done over her summer break.

Cardi B

The singer is open about most things — including her plastic surgery past. After she welcomed her daughter, Kulture, in July 2018, she revealed she’d gotten a breast lift and liposuction and defended the choice in a May 2019 Instagram Live session. “Listen, I do whatever the f--k I want to do with my body,” she said. “Let me tell you something, bitch. I don’t have the time of day like you do. Like, my job as an entertainer is a 24-hour job, bro. So no, I don’t have time to work out and I wanted specific things that I know that no matter how much I work out ― is not get fixed… Like my boobs, no matter how much I work out, they were not gonna lift themselves. So yeah, I had to get f--ng surgery.” But after she was forced to cancel several shows due to health complications, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper — who’d previously revealed she had once gotten illegal butt injections — realized it wasn’t worth it. "I been working out for the past 2 weeks cause b**ch I ain’t getting surgery again:joy::joy::joy:," Cardi tweeted in June 2019. "But let me tell you I haven’t got a headache ever since."

In May 2019, the Jersey Shore star revealed that he had undergone liposuction to enhance his six-pack after welcoming his daughter, Ariana, the year before. “I’ve always been a workout fanatic, and I’ve always been in shape, but it also takes a lot of hard work to stay in shape,” he said in a video on the show The Doctors. “A year ago to the day, my life completely changed. I had a little baby girl. She’s like my guardian angel, and now I can’t spend two to three hours every day in the gym like I used to.” His surgeon Dr. Christopher Khorsandi described the procedure as “laser high-definition liposuction of the abdomen.” The result? “We’re going to be able to get that area in between each of his abs completely defined so that he actually has a six-pack for many, many years to come,” the pro noted.

Vicki Gunvalson

From a rhinoplasty to a chin implant to Botox, The Real Housewives of Orange County star has never been shy about the multiple facial procedures she’s gotten over the years. In July 2018, Gunvalson told Us Weekly that the eyelid blepharoplasty and face-lift she had just gotten would be her last procedures. “Put a fork in it, I’m done!” she said. The reality star also had many of her fillers removed at the same time. “I had a lot of fillers in my face and I didn’t feel like it was me anymore,” she told Us. “I had too many doctors, too many different times say, ‘Let’s do this, let’s do that, let’s fill here, let’s do Voluma, let’s do Sculptra,’ and by the time I was done I looked in the mirror and was like ‘I don’t even look like myself.’”

She's had her fill of fillers! "You have no idea because it's gradual, until you go, 'Oh, s--t. This doesn't look right.' And it's worse in pictures than in real life," the Friends alum told New Beauty magazine in 2017. "I've had all my fillers dissolved. I'm as natural as I can be. I feel better because I look like myself. I think that I now look more like the person that I was. I hope I do."

Kylie Jenner

In July 2016, the beauty maven finally admitted she relied on fillers to make her pout plump. Asked by her sister Kim Kardashian in an Allure interview if she had any beauty regrets, Jenner answered, "Well, I definitely made my lips a little too big at one point." After her big sis agreed, Jenner continued, “I got excited and felt like I needed to do a lot. And then you guys were like, 'Kylie, you need to chill.' And then I had to go back and have it fixed, and it was a crazy process. Thank God I didn't end up on Botched."

Jane Fonda

“I’m two years older than my dad was when he died,” Fonda told The Guardian in 2015 of her actor father, Henry, who starred in 1981’s On Golden Pond. “Katharine Hepburn was three years younger than I am now when she made that movie. People looked older back then. I wish I were brave enough to not do plastic surgery but I think I bought myself a decade.”

Iggy Azalea

In 2015, the rapper, who had already shared that she’d had a breast augmentation, confirmed to Seventeen that she had gotten a nose job. "I'm not denying it. Denying it is lame,” she told the mag. "I don't think you should be ashamed if you made a change to yourself, which is why I've spoken about the changes I've made, like with my breasts." But she also noted that choosing surgery is not an easy road. “Plastic surgery is an emotional journey," the Grammy winner noted. "It's no easy feat to live with your flaws and accept yourself — and it's no easy feat to change yourself. Either way you look at it, it's a tough journey. There are things that I didn't like about myself that I changed through surgery. There are other things I dislike but I've learned to accept."

Jane Seymour

The actress relies on diet and exercise rather than surgeons to keep her eternally youthful looks. “I tried Botox once and hated it,” she told ET in 2014. “It was just the worst thing ever.” But she made clear that she’s not against all enhancements, admitting she had breast enhancement surgery to replace “what the kids ate.”

Julie Chen

The journalist revealed on The Talk in 2013 that, after getting racist feedback from a boss when she was 25 years old, she had surgery to make her “Asian eyes” look bigger. “I was working as a local news reporter in Dayton, Ohio," the Chinese-American television personality said. "I asked my news director over the holidays, 'If anchors want to take vacations, could I fill in?' And he said, 'You will never be on this anchor desk, because you're Chinese." She continued: "He said, 'Let's face it, Julie, how relatable are you to our community? How big of an Asian community do we have in Dayton?' On top of that, because of your heritage, because of your Asian eyes, sometimes I've noticed when you're on camera and you're interviewing someone, you look disinterested, you look bored.'" She received similar feedback when searching for an agent, and decided to have an eye procedure. Though she was conflicted about her decision at the time, the ambitious star doesn’t have regrets. "No one's more proud of being Chinese than I am," she said after her revelation. "Every decision I've made … it got [me] to where we are today, and I'm not going to look back."

CBS (2)
Kelly Roland

Rowland took the decision to get a breast enhancement very seriously. “I wanted to get breast implants when I was 18, but my mom and Beyoncé's mom told me to really think about it first,” the Destiny’s Child alum told Shape magazine in 2013. “I took their advice and waited 10 years.” Even once she decided, she proceeded carefully. “Once I felt ready, I tried on padded bras and walked around in them to see how it would feel,” she added. “You have to know what you're getting, no matter what type of surgery it is.”

Heidi Montag

The Hills star famously underwent 10 procedures in one day in late 2009, including breast implants to bring her to an F cup, a brow lift, a nose job update, lipo on her stomach and thighs and a butt augmentation, and shared the news and photos in March 2010. Three years later, she had big regrets — and health problems as a result. “I just didn't realize what I was really signing up for,” the reality star told Us in 2013, after having some of the work reversed. “It just sounds so minor when you have a surgeon describing so much of it to you, like, ‘OK, great, a little of this, a little of that.’ You're not told the recovery time and the mental strain that it will put on you, and the long term.”

Ashlee Simpson

The star has never explicitly confirmed the nose job she is widely believed to have had in the spring of 2006. However, she more or less told Us Weekly in the years after that her bridge had, indeed, been surgically slimmed. “As long as people have two eyes,” Simpson told Us, “you probably know the answer.”

The Revenge Body host later took to Twitter to address the “shade” she continually gets for switching up her appearance so often.

“Wow!! What a compliment,” she wrote in September after being compared to Kourtney, 41.

Sadie Robertson Says She Struggled With Eating Disorder After ‘DWTS’

By // No comments:

Sadie Robertson spoke out about her struggle with an eating disorder following her appearance on Dancing With the Stars in 2014.

The Duck Dynasty alum, 23, came in second place on season 19 of the dance competition, and although she was pleased with the outcome, her body image took a hit.

“During Dancing With the Stars, you work out so much and you’re dancing 24/7, so no wonder you have the body of your lifetime,” Robertson told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, September 30. “I had this body that I never thought I’d have. I had a six-pack for two weeks, but then Thanksgiving hit and it went away. People started to comment.”

The reality star, who was 17 years old on DWTS, explained that the messages were “innocent” at first, but once her body began to change, outside influences caused her to see herself in a skewed way.

“There were people in my life who were just really negative influences, that would say things that were not uplifting about the way that I looked and how I needed to maintain the body that I had. It was so wrong,” she said. “I was insecure at the time, so I believed them and thought, ‘Oh, I need to push it.'”

Robertson revealed that her modeling career at the time didn’t help with her body image issues.

“People would say things like, ‘Oh, if you lost 10 more pounds, you would look like a real model,'” she recalled. “I was literally 115 pounds and already unhealthy. That just messed my mind up.”

After listening to others, the Live Original ministry creator developed a “really unhealthy view” of her body, noting that “an eating disorder is different in a lot of different ways.”

At her darkest point, the “WHOA That’s Good” podcast host recalled constantly thinking about her physical appearance and what she should be eating.

“You’re counting the calories. You’re sizing up your legs and all those different things. You’re just kind of completely gripped by it and that’s kind of where I was,” she explained. “I would look at myself in the mirror and I would think, ‘I’m fat,’ and I was not at all.”

The Louisiana native, who married Christian Huff in 2019, turned to God to help her navigate the negative thoughts and body struggle in order to learn to love herself.

“I would tell myself, ‘I am so thankful that I have this. I’m so thankful that my legs actually serve the purpose that they should and that they’re able to run, that my arms are able to carry things,’” she explained, noting that her opinion of beauty has changed over the past few years.

“Beauty has evolved for me in a couple different ways in my life. I think just the maturity of how I see beauty has grown a lot,” Robertson said. “I think a lot of times we say we want inner beauty but we seek to strive for outer beauty. What really helped me is understanding that it’s not actually about being the most beautiful person in the world; it’s about the beauty that radiates inside of you and off of you and how that can actually captivate the attention of somebody who loves you.”

Lily Allen and More Stars Who Announced They’ve Become Sober

By // No comments:

Hollywood is no stranger to sober celebs. A-list stars from Bradley Cooper to Robert Downey Jr. to Kristen Johnston and Russell Brand have been open about their struggles with alcohol, illegal drugs and other substance addictions. Some say they want to help other alcoholics and addicts find the courage they need to start their sobriety journey, while others say they’re simply grateful and want to live their lives in the open.

From time to time, however, a celebrity will surprise the world and suddenly announce that they got sober. Us rounded up the public revelations and confessions from stars who bravely got sober in private, then shared the inspiring news with fans by coming clean on getting clean.

Cheryl Burke

The Dancing With the Stars pro revealed she is two years sober during a September 2020 episode of the “LadyGang” podcast. “It was just a decision that I made for myself,” she said. “And it was when Matt [Lawrence] and I got engaged and it was during that engagement party that we were just like — or that I was like, he didn’t even know — I was just like, I was done. My father passed away — and then my dad was an alcoholic — so either I was gonna crash and burn and check myself into rehab or I was gonna just quit cold turkey. That’s just my personality. It’s either black or white.”

The Real Housewives of New York City star showed off her three-month sobriety coin via Instagram in June 2020. “I spent most of my adult life not drinking. Living without alcohol is much more normal to me than living with alcohol,” McSweeney, who was previously sober for nine years, told Us Weekly exclusively earlier that month.

The singer celebrated six months of sobriety in June 2020 after undergoing a “really big vocal surgery” the previous November. “I did a lot of family history, which has a lot of addiction and mental health challenges,” she told Variety at the time. “So just going through that and asking, ‘Why am I the way that I am?’ By understanding the past, we understand the present and the future much more clearly.

The Summer House star revealed to Us exclusively in May 2020 that he got sober. “I do have so many issues and I wanted to actually get help that’s directly, you know, attacking the alcohol component,” he said on the “Hot Hollywood” podcast. “That’s something I’d never done before. So, I’m proud of myself.”

The former adult film star announced in September 2019 that she was four years clean. “We do recover. We do overcome. We do rebuild,” she wrote via Instagram. “But we never forget. We still have scars. They fade. The sun begins to shine and close out the shadows. Trust returns.”

The Fosters alum revealed that he got sober one day before celebrating his 21st birthday. “I had been partying quite a bit when I lived in LA. I was having a really good time. When I was turning 21, I was like, ‘Damn, I’ve been partying like crazy since I was 17,’” he admitted in a video that resurfaced to Twitter in August 2018. “I was like, ‘Wow, maybe I should take a break.’ So I stopped doing all that and I found that a lot of problems I was having in my life, slowly — they didn’t go away, they just became way more apparent to me.”

The fashion designer stopped drinking in November 2017 after turning to alcohol and pills to cope with the sexual abuse she endured as a child. “When I finally said I needed help, it was like I was that little girl that found her calling again in life,” she told People magazine in January 2020. “I found direction and that was to walk straight ahead with no fear. Honesty is hard but it’s the most rewarding thing we have. And getting to the other side of fear is beautiful.”

The Teen Wolf alum announced in March 2019 that he is six months sober after quietly battling drug and alcohol addiction for a decade. “I got married [to Jeff Leatham in 2018] and that didn’t work out. That was extremely public and heartbreaking, and right when that was going on, my mom died,” he told Attitude magazine. Haynes revealed that he hit rock bottom when he locked himself in a hotel room during a seven-day bender and “ended up in [a] 5150 psych hold.” He completed a four-month treatment program soon after.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro

The Jersey Shore star revealed exclusively to Us in February 2019 that he was a month sober. “I decided to go to treatment because I wanted to be a better person, a better father for my daughter,” Ortiz-Magro said, confirming he finished a month-long rehab stint at Headwaters treatment center in West Palm Beach, Florida, on February 10. The MTV star has had multiple highly publicized, under-the-influence blow-ups over the past year with his former partner Jen Harley. “I think it’s a chronic disease. It’s a progressive disease. I’m still struggling,” the father of 10-month-old Ariana said of alcoholism. “You stop and you start up again, and it’s worse than when you stopped. You’re just like, ‘Wow, I thought I had this under control,’ but at the end of the day, it has full control over you.”

Dan Callister
Spencer Matthews

The Made in Chelsea alum — and Pippa Middleton’s brother-in-law — announced in a January 7, 2018 Instagram post that he had embraced sobriety. “Been sober 7 months now and cannot begin to explain the difference in my life... 2018 for me was a complete game changer and I now feel like the best version of myself. Happy, active, busy and focused,” said the formerly hard-partying British reality star. Matthews, who welcomed his first baby with his model wife, Vogue Williams, in September 2018, added, “Being the best husband to @voguewilliams and the best father to Theodore is priority number one and always will be… Onwards and upwards is the only way!! Much love x”

The singer-songwriter revealed on Twitter in late December 2018 that he was two months sober. “2018: you brought me to my knees. It turns out that's where I needed to be: in prayer for everyone here or lost,” he captioned a photo of his sobriety coin. “In these trying times, God bless everyone struggling or on the path to empathy, kindness and recovery. Keep the Faith. & may the Faith keep you. XO.”

The Vanderpump Rules star revealed in December 2018 that she was two months sober. “Today marks 60 days that I’ve been sober and it’s been the best 60 days that I’ve had in a really long time,” Kent told fans via her Instagram Story. “Thank you to my sponsor, thanks to my sober coach, people in my meetings that tell me to keep taking it day by day.”

The Bring It On alum first opened up about her battle with alcoholism and drug addiction at the New Hampshire Youth Summit on Opioid Awareness in Manchester, New Hampshire, in March 2017. Dushku revealed she started experimenting with marijuana at the age of 14 and continued to abuse substances for many years. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress told the audience that she decided to get clean when her brother told her she could not see her niece while she was under the influence. Dushku recently celebrated 10 years of being sober in November 2018. “Asking for help #odaat saved my life,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “If you’re struggling w #alcohol &/or #drug #addiction, I promise, you don’t have to live that way anymore.”

John Mayer

The “Waiting on the World To Change” singer can thank Drake for helping him get clean. Mayer revealed in the November 2018 cover story of Complex that he hadn’t had a drink since Drake’s 30th birthday party two years earlier. After making “a fool” of himself at the rapper’s October 2016 bash and suffering a six-day hangover, Mayer says he asked himself, “‘OK, John, what percentage of your potential would you like to have? Because if you say you’d like 60, and you’d like to spend the other 40 having fun, that’s fine. But what percentage of what is available to you would you like to make happen? There’s no wrong answer. What is it?’ I went, ‘100.’” He added of alcohol, “If you look at drinking the way you would look at anything else, which is risk-reward, what am I giving up? What am I getting? It’s some of the worst odds that ever existed.”

On the October 29, 2018, episode of Dax Shepard’s podcast, Armchair Expert, the Girls creator revealed that she had been misusing prescription pills unbeknownst to the public. “I’ve been sober for six months,” said the actress, adding, “My particular passion was Klonopin.” She went on to admit, “I do see the way that the way I medicated myself negatively impacted people around me and decimated my decision-making and hurt my creativity, and so I just feel, like, literally on-my-knees grateful every single day.”

He celebrated his first year of sobriety with a big announcement. “I first tried to get sober over 5 years ago, when the weight of my obsession with booze and drugs became too heavy for me to handle,” he wrote on Instagram on October 11, 2018, next to a photo of an Alcoholics Anonymous chip. “Turns out this s—t is hard. After some fits and starts, I’ve managed to put together one year of sobriety.” The American Pie actor also shared a message of encouragement: “If you’re struggling, there’s help. Don’t be ashamed. We can do this.”

The rapper had been open about his former sleeping pill and Vicodin addictions in the past — as well as his relapses. But he remained relatively quiet about his continuing sober journey until April 21, 2018, when he posted a photo of himself on Instagram holding up an Alcoholics Anonymous coin with the Roman numeral X on it. “Celebrated my 10 years yesterday,” he captioned the pic.

Brad Pitt

Though it’s hard for one of the most famous people in the world to do anything privately, Pitt announced in GQ’s May 2017 issue that he was relatively far into the process of recovery. “I was boozing too much. It's just become a problem. And I'm really happy it's been half a year now, which is bittersweet, but I've got my feelings in my fingertips again. I think that's part of the human challenge: You either deny them all of your life or you answer them and evolve,” the actor, who was about six months into his divorce proceedings with Angelina Jolie at the time, said. Not that it was easy. “Truthfully I could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka. I was a professional. I was good,” he confessed of his drinking habits. But he stopped for a simple reason: “Don't want to live that way anymore,” he declared.

Daniel Radcliffe

The Harry Potter star revealed in GQ UK's July 2011 issue that he hadn’t had a drink since August 2010. “I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” he said, adding that he frequently blacked out. “There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me.” In 2016, the star, who has said he preferred whiskey, told the UK’s Telegraph that he’d had a brief relapse — but was three years sober again at that point.

The reality star frequently talked about rehab and sobriety for years. On August 9, 2018, she took to Instagram to share that she’d had a relapse — but was celebrating a year of sobriety once again. “This past year has been one of the hardest years of my life and I feel it’s time share that with you guys. To cut a long story short things got really dark… The only way I knew how to function was to self medicate and go from project to project so I never had to focus on what was really going on with me,” she wrote. Osbourne turned her life around through her own hard work and with the help of family and friends. “I could not have done this with out there love and support. I can’t believe It’s been a year!!!,” she continued. “I can whole heartedly confess that I’m finally at peace with myself and truly starting to understand what true happiness is.”
