Omarosa Manigault-Newman did exactly what she said she was going to do this morning on Meet The Press: she released the tapes!
After having apparently secretly recorded Donald Trump and others, including White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, during her tenure working for the President, the former Celebrity Apprentice star did as she vowed and released what she had this morning to host Chuck Todd on the NBC show.

The tapes themselves show a couple different things, including how Omarosa was fired by Kelly in the Situation Room of the White House -- an important strategic location for Presidential game-planning, which makes it salacious in and of itself as to how she got the recording device there in the first place.

Predictably, Washington, DC is going CRAZY right now, too on Twitter (below):
Omarosa says on @MeetThePress that @seanspicer signed a hush money agreement, that's why he calls Trump "a unicorn, riding a unicorn over a rainbow."

This new Omarosa recording of John Kelly is not surprising. The president, the White House, the chief of staff and the entire Trump administration is one big embarrassment, from Russia to Yemen to Niger to Charlottesville to Puerto Rico to North Korea to locking kids in cages. https://t.co/jC6fMHfiI3

The obvious issue here: if Omarosa was supposedly fired (as Kelly says) for unethical and possibly illegal acts while working at White House, why did Lara Trump immediately turn around and offer her $15,000/month in hush money?
— Matt McDermott (@mattmfm) August 12, 2018
Set aside that Omarosa recorded a conversation in the Sit Room. Why was she there in the first place? Why did John Kelly, who has a large, private office, feel that was the best place to fire her? This is bigger than Omarosa. It’s a culture of disregard for our natl security. https://t.co/tpOTWqM2ag

My reaction to Omarosa recording John Kelly: A. Holy Fuck you can easily smuggle recording devices into the Situation Room. B. See A

.@AprilDRyan makes an excellent point about @OMAROSA's tapes being a national security risk.
How many other staffers are taping White House conversations on unsecured phones that can be hacked by hostile foreign governments?

There is just one small problem with all this pushback to Omarosa coming from everyone in the West Wing and the RNC....
TRUMP GAVE HER A SENIOR JOB IN HIS ADMINISTRATION

If Omarosa can sneak a tape recorder into the Situation Room then imagine what the Russians snuck into the Oval Office when Trump invited them in the day after he fired Comey. The place is probably bugged and Putin is probably listening to everything.

If Omarosa carried for example a cellphone into the Situation Room, then not only did she record conversations there, but so potentially has any country or criminal organization that thought to hack her phone

Omarosa needs a lawyer—she made a recording of the White House Chief of Staff in a classified area called a SCIF.
But someone needs to ask John Kelly: Why did you feel the need to have Omarosa’s exit conversation in a SCIF? Is it because said something you didn’t want recorded? https://t.co/75bw2RwbZF

If Omarosa can secretly record the White House chief of staff, I am sure a hostile foreign entity could do the same. This is a huge national security issue. I'd be more worried after this Meet The Press interview than entertained.

Oh boy...
Something tells us this won't be the last we hear of this whole controversy, will it?!
Crazy!!!
